sotvo is offered as-is, for private 1:1 communication between two consenting people.
How rooms work
A room is opened by one person and joined by another using a code shared out of band. sotvo does not match strangers and has no discovery, search, or public presence. It is meant for two people who already know each other and choose to talk privately.
Unlocks and tips
Joining a room is always free. The one-time unlock is a purchase handled entirely by Apple under the standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. Tips are voluntary and non-refundable.
Rooms expire
Rooms expire by design. Burned or expired content cannot be recovered — by you, by the other side, or by us. Do not rely on sotvo to store anything; it is built to forget.
Acceptable use
You may use sotvo only for lawful, consensual communication. Using it for anything illegal — including any content or conduct that harms or exploits another person — is prohibited, with zero tolerance. Accounts do not exist here, but access can be refused.
Reporting, blocking, and leaving
Inside any room you can report a problem, block and leave, or end the room at any time. Because sotvo is end-to-end encrypted, a report can only include what you choose to send from your own device — this is stated plainly when you report. We aim to act on reports within 24 hours. Blocking ends the room immediately and stops that code from opening again on your device.
For safety concerns you can also write to safety@sotvo.app.
Age
sotvo is intended for people 17 and older.
No warranty
sotvo is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind. A room may end, a message may fail to send, or a call may drop; the design accepts this in exchange for keeping nothing.
sotvo is not yet released. These terms will be finalized and versioned with the release build.
